We currently have a rewarding vacancy for a Neighbourhood Team Officer to work within a multi-disciplinary community Neighbourhood Team.

Adult Services in Leeds are continuing to work with partners across social care to develop integrated services to support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. This is an exciting time, with services working together to implement new ways of working to provide high quality support and care to the communities in Leeds. We are therefore looking for individuals who are passionate about improving services.


As a Neighbourhood Team Officer you will be office based with good IT skills and telephone manner. You will need to be able to work under pressure in a busy Neighbourhood office where ability to time manage and prioritise tasks is essential. You must be willing to undergo further training and development as required.


In the role you will deal with the management of referrals, allocation of workload, monitoring of staffing levels and provide a frontline service for our staff and patients. This is a developing role and you will be flexible, innovative and able to adapt to change.


For this post you will be required to work the following shifts, 7-3, 9-5 and 2-10 including weekend cover. (Unsocial hours attract enhanced pay rates).


Our service provides support for patients between the hours of 7am and 10pm every day of the year, including bank holidays.

  • Must be able to work the shifts stated in the advert and weekends.

  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.

  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

  • Good IT skills including ability to use Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality.

  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

  • Able to work under pressure.

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48.83 or Standard £30) from your salary. There will be no charge if you are enrolled in the DBS Update Service.
