An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Senior Service Administrator to work in the Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHS) in Lewisham. PCMHS is an integrated service providing support for people experiencing mental health problems within their GP surgery, primary care or community setting. The service consists of a multidisciplinary team of mental health practitioners including a psychiatrist, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, mental health advisors and peer support workers. PCMHS supports service users by their GP as well as those who are in transition from secondary care mental health services. It is anticipated that PCMHS will become the single point of access for mental health support of intervention.

We are looking for a highly organised, efficient and motivated person who will be able to work on their own initiative. The applicant must have excellent IT skills and experience with using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook). The ideal applicant must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise their workload (which is an important skill within this role) be effective at implementing good working practices as well as having a flexible and proactive approach to work and being a team player.

South London and Maudsley (SLaM) has the widest range of Mental Health Services in the UK and also substance misuse services for people addicted to drugs and/or alcohol. It has over 230 services including inpatient wards; outpatient and community services with about 4,800 staff and serve a population of about 1,1m. It provides inpatient care for approximately 5,300 people each year and treats more than 45,000 patients in the community across Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and Croydon.
