We are seeking Night duty Rehabilitation Support Workers to join our Specialist Brain Injury and Neurological Care Service at Stocksbridge Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre 15 miles from Sheffield, 11 miles from Barnsley and on the edge of The Peak District National Park.

The centre is a specialist facility providing both long-term and short-term person-centred rehabilitation, care and support for male and female adults (aged 18+ years) with a brain injury or other complex neurological conditions.

Set high in the Pennine Hills, the town of Stocksbridge borders the Peak District National Park and is surrounded by spectacular countryside with wonderful views.

We’re looking for caring and committed individuals who want to work with a company that understands how important Rehabilitation Support Workers are to our patients/ residents recovery.

Many of our patients arrive with complex and challenging needs. Huntercombe Support workers work in small teams with nurses, doctors, therapists and other experts, and together they make a world of difference to people’s lives.

Job Summary:

  • To provide an excellent caring service in conjunction with the qualified nursing team
  • Be actively involved in patient care
  • Maintain and develop high standards of care for our patients while being aware of their individual needs and care programmes
  • Contribute towards effective communication, by reporting to nurse in charge any information given by patient/relative, incident or observation which may affect patients' physical/mental well-being
  • Contribute to the maintenance of safe and comfortable ward environment in accordance with health and safety standards
