For over four decades Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity have provided outstanding palliative care to its community and its services have made a huge impact on many families lives across Hampshire.

The journey towards end of life can be a complex one. Medical advances and changes in family lives mean that the care we provide to our patients and their families constantly evolves to meet the needs and expectations of our Community. For us to extend our services further to reach more people we need to recruit additional staff to support our outstanding services, here at the Hospice.

Business Administration Apprentice -

Data and Quality

37.5 hours per week, to be worked in accordance with the needs of the service.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprenticeship in Data & Quality to come and join the team here at Countess Mountbatten Hospice.

The successful candidate will have a professional approach when dealing with service users and their colleagues and possess a willingness to learn. They will have an innovative approach to their work with a mature outlook. The candidate will become a valuable member of the Quality team and assist in the provision of a high standard service. They will maintain a flexible approach to working routines and have the ability to carry out a variety of tasks, prioritising theses when necessary. They will be able to work within a team and also on their own.

This is a very busy role, working with complex systems and with a large and varied workload. We are therefore looking for someone enthusiastic and excited to take on a new challenge.

Achieve a relevant NVQ 2 or 3 equivalent apprenticeship recognised qualification. In addition, training will be provided in;

  • Quality Improvement
  • Data analyses
  • In house IT systems
  • Project work
  • Arranging meetings and minute taking


Experience gained across a number of setting at Countess Mountbatten with a focus on Data and Quality improvement.

About you

The post holder will be required to work flexibly Monday – Friday 8:30am to 4.30pm working on a basis of 7.5 hours per day.

You will be required to attend and maintain regular training courses and to follow the policies and procedures set down by Countess Mountbatten Hospice.

Countess Mountbatten Hospice rated ‘Good’ by the CQC.
