This opportunity is an exciting role working within an established Governance and Clinical Quality Structure within the organisation.

Reporting to the Clinical Effectiveness Team Leader, the primary responsibility of the Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator will be to provide clinical effectiveness advice and support associated with the national, local and Trust priorities to staff across the clinical and corporate Divisions

The post holder will deputise as required for the Clinical Effectiveness Team Leader.

In support of the Clinical Effectiveness Team Leader, the post holder will be the lead specialist for the organisation on matters relating to Clinical Effectiveness and will be supporting the Clinical Effectiveness Team Leader in the production of the annual governance programme, monitoring of the quality of clinical governance that is conducted throughout the Trust and leading on a clinical governance training programme.

The post holder will provide direct day to day support to the Clinical Effectiveness Administrators ensuring that the departmental workload is prioritised according to required timelines and deadlines.

The post holder will be responsible for leading on assigned department work profiles and will support the development of the annual work programme for the designated work profile.

More specifically the post holder will be supporting the work profiles for the following areas:

 

    • Contribution to specific chapters of the Trust Annual Quality Account

 

    • Clinical Outcomes and Benchmarking

 

    • Trust Mortality

 

    • National Audit and Confidential Enquiries

 

    • Clinical Audit Programme

 

    • Review and establishment of new approach to approval and ratification of Trust wide Clinical Guidelines

 

    • NICE Guidance and Quality Standards

 

    • Implementing new procedures, techniques and equipment (Innovations)

 

    • Annual CQUIN programme

 

The successful candidate must have knowledge base of all stages of the governance cycle, with at least two years’ experience in clinical governance or a related field.

The post holder must also have experience and/or training in using Information Technology Systems and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The post is based on the University Hospital Lewisham (UHL) site of our acute Trust. The Trust has a staff minibus that runs a regular service between the sites.
