An exciting opportunity has arisen at Royal Papworth Trust for a Training and Development Manager, to help us embed a culture of learning and development to support team performance.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised individual to take our training and development interventions to the next level. We are want to be world leading in creating an environment in which our staff can learn, grow and develop using a blend of approaches – face to face, eLearning, individual and team learning.


The role will include ensuring we have coherent training and development programme that is well publicised and accessible to all our staff, as well as monitoring and evaluating impact to see a difference in team performance.

This is an exciting time to join the Training and Development Team at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as we settle into our new locations at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and Royal Papworth House at Huntingdon. Our current training and development agenda that you will be involved in includes embedding eLearning, working with Subject Matter Experts to deliver the right training for their specialisms, managing and developing our coaching programme for line managers, maximizing use of the Apprenticeship Levy to support staff development.


We are looking for dynamic, professional individual with great team working skills to join us to help deliver our challenging agenda. This role will enable the right candidate to develop and excel in the development of others through effective training and development interventions.

The successful candidates will need to have previous management and leadership experience, an appreciation of the training and development needs in a healthcare environment and knowing how to target training and development interventions to get maximum impact. You will need to spend time at both our locations. There is opportunity to work flexibly.
