We are looking for an experienced pharmacy technician to join us in developing and supporting existing services. The successful candidate will need excellent time management and organisational skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team and have a high level of attention to detail. These skills will be essential in delivering the workload efficiently and effectively. Experience of managing clozapine would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be working in partnership to develop the delivery of care and medicines management; we expect that you would have excellent interpersonal skills. Your role will have a significant impact on service user’s care by developing quality systems that improve our workflow as we progress with developing our Medicines Management service.

Medicines management and medicines optimisation are high on the agenda at the Trust and we aim to provide high quality care with an emphasis on services to service users, through a modernised lean working process. We are committed to sharing excellence and providing positive outcomes to our service users.

The post will be based within the main hub at Fieldhead, taking part in holiday and sickness cover at other locations in the trust when required.

You will be joining a team of pharmacists and technicians over Wakefield, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Halifax and Barnsley; you will be supported in building on existing skills and developing new ones.

Applications from Band 4 technicians who fit the essential criteria with the exception of accuracy checking will be considered. If successful the candidate will commence at Band 4 and be required to undertake and pass the accuracy checking qualification within the first 12 months. This is an additional condition to those outlined in our values based recruitment policy.
