There are two permanent roles and based in our Lancashire Young Persons and Families Service, but you may also act as cover across other regional areas, such as our West Lancashire Community service. Working to an IT Manager, one role will likely be more senior, with additional responsibilities. 

You will be working closely with the Virgin Care central support team for 1st and 3rd line support, as well as specialist resolver teams for reporting, clinical and back office systems. As a second line engineer you will be representing the whole IM&T department as the onsite ambassador; excellent customer service is a must.

The IT Support role will manage IT requests received through the IT Service Management System (ITSM) to deliver on-site support and advice to staff. They will keep staff regularly informed of progress and ensure that the ITSM is also updated. They will support mobilisation, transformation and exit projects.

You will have experience and skills covering at least: 

●      2nd/3rd line support experience of Windows AD, VDI and associated infrastructure

●      Windows 7 and 10 support and configuration

●      Experience of technology transformation projects

●      Able to communicate at both technical detail level and at high (conceptual) level

●      Application support experience

●      Microsoft Office (2010 – 365) experience of support and configuration

●      VPN software and use

●      Supporting Managed printing solutions

●      Understanding of threat management and anti-virus methodologies

●      Understanding of Information Governance and our responsibilities for data security

●      Windows hardware support experience

Your technical skills should be coupled with strong communication and organisation skills, and a flexible approach will ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients/service users at every stage of their healthcare journey.
