Applications are invited for Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine based at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen. Some work is also undertaken at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli. The post offers excellent opportunities to gain valuable experience in a busy and supportive and professional department within this friendly hospital.

Full GMC registration, completion Foundation Programme Year 1 essential, completion of Foundation Year 2 desirable.

The Postgraduate Department has a fully developed programme of guest lectures, lunchtime and afternoon meetings, including special interest groups and co-ordinated intra-practice activities and career counselling. The library offers a wide ranging book collection, with interlibrary lending network, excellent IT facilities audio-visual and conferencing equipment.

West Wales in an area of outstanding natural beauty which includes the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, the Brecon Beacons and the Gower peninsula. It offers a variety of outdoor pursuits including walking, horse riding, fishing, sailing, surfing and cycling. Carmarthen is the oldest town in Wales and has been continuously inhabited since Roman times. Reasonable property prices and excellent state schools contribute to low living costs and a high quality of life. There are also excellent road and rail connections to Cardiff and London.
