To cover maternity leave the Community OT Team are requiring a new team member from 12th August 2019.

The post holder must have previous administrative experience and will be required to undertake general administrative duties for the team including dealing with patients and other healthcare professionals over the telephone and face to face.

You should have recent, relevant experience in an Administrative /Secretarial / Reception / Customer Service role, knowledge of office procedures and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook. IT skills will be tested at interview.

Applicants should also be educated to academic Level 2 (e.g. GCSE – Grade A-C, NVQ2, OCR/RSA2, City and Guilds 2) in a Business Administration-related subject or have considerable recent NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 2 qualification on appointment to post.

 

A large part of the duties involve manning the Community Therapy telephone referral line, taking information from patients, referrers and other professionals.

The role includes working within a very busy team, using a variety of IT systems so experience of handling confidential information, general administrative skills, the ability to multi task with a good sense of humour is essential.

The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
