An opportunity has arisen within the Nutrition and Dietetic Department at the West Cumberland Hospital to cover a period of maternity leave. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic dietitian who either has Band 6 experience or a Band 5 with  experience who wants to develop their knowledge and skills at this level.

You will join a busy, energetic, friendly department of 5 dietitians, a dietetic assistant and administrative assistant and have the support of a Team Leader and Dietetic Services Manager.

This post will involve working in the Community settingandthe successful applicant will have a varied and challenging caseload including: Nutritional Support and Home Enteral Feeding as well as leading on MUST training and Enteral Feeding study days.

You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a changing environment and have good communication skills and provide evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to this post.

A BSc Hons degree in Dietetics or equivalent is essential. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are also essential as this post covers a large geographical rural area.

You will be expected to support junior staff with the guidance of the Team Lead, Professional Lead and Dietetic Services Manager.

The department has excellent computer facilities and we also have a flexible working system in place.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
