We are looking a number of Employment Specialists to join our CNWL Employment Services Team. Posts will be based in Brent Community Mental health Team based at Brondesbury Road and Bentley House Community Mental Health Team based at Harrow and Wealdstone

 

We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, have experience of supporting people to access paid employment and have the right qualities and aptitudes. These include a passionate belief that anyone with mental health problems can work, is a self-starters with initiative, a commitment to team work and strong organisational skills.

 

You will be joining a well-established Employment Service, who are a National Centre of Excellence, and will have access to a range of professional development and training opportunities.

 

Your role will often involve being the only Employment Specialist in a mental health team, and you will need to promote employment and raise expectations around the ability of service users to access paid employment. You will have individual and team targets, and will receive professional supervision and support from an Employment Team leader, a clinical supervisor and local peers. You will also be expected to spend time in the community negotiating job opportunities via the hidden labour market, as well as networking with local agencies.

 

All posts are funded for 2 years initially, but there is a commitment to securing on-going funding. Successful applicants will be entitled to 27 days annual leave per year, as well as access to the NHS final salary pension scheme.

 

Due to the number of posts advertised, candidates who pass the recruitment assessment centre may be asked to attend an interview on a later date in the team of their choice. We will contact you to invite you to the Assessment Centre, and will discuss interview dates and your availability.
