We're looking for passionate and committed individuals to join our innovative Neighbourhood Nursing Teams across Barnsley.


Can you think on your feet? Make effective clinical decisions? Do you have what it takes to be part of our Service?


We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic,motivated, Registered Nurses to work within the Neighbourhood Nursing Service throughout the Barnsley area. The service is responsible for delivering nursing care to housebound patients, which includes wound management, chronic disease management, promotion of self care and terminal/palliative care.


You will support the District Nurse in carrying out nursing care for patients primarily within their home but you will also participate in clinic sessions. Enthusiasm and the ability to use your own initiative are essential, along with good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.You will need the ability to work both as part of a team and as a lone worker, along with the use of a vehicle to undertake any necessary travel in connection with the duties of the post. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly including weekends and bank holidays. You will be allocated to a specific team, however, it should be noted that you are employed to work across the service and may be required to move bases if/when required.
