NHS Professionals run the temporary work placements at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, and we are looking for an IT Technician to start ASAP!

Location: Lister Hospital
Department: IMT Department
Band: ITC00, IT Band 3, £9.62 - £11.06 per hour
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

What are we looking for?

  • An analytical mind
  • An ability to learn new technologies quickly

  • An ability to follow processes
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal

What will the placement include?

  • Basic understanding of Patching and cabling
  • Implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, DNS and DHCP
  • Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades
  • Investigating faults in the network
  • Updating network equipment
