We are looking to recruit an exceptional band 5 staff nurse to become an integral member of our gynaecology team in the Women's and Children's Division at Arrowe Park Hospital. The position is on a rotational basis between the inpatient ward, day case unit, Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit, Gynaecology assessment unit and pregnancy counselling clinic.

Candidates must be enthusiastic and interested in learning about all aspects of Gynaecology. Gynaecology experience is desirable but not essential for this post.

This is a fast paced unit with a high patient turnover which includes many aspects of Women’s health such as early pregnancy care, including miscarriage and elective and non- elective surgical patients consisting of Gynaecology and Breast Surgery.

The post holder will have excellent communication skills and have an ability to deal with potentially difficult and emotive situations relating to pregnancy loss and oncology in a sensitive manner and make decisions using their own judgement whilst recognising the remit of their role.The successful applicant must be willing to participate in the treatment and care of patient’s attending for termination of pregnancy.
