Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Job Reference: J129-A-19-2017

Employer:
Care Unbound Limited, trading as Here
Department:
Benfield Valley Healthcare Hub
Location:
Portslade
Salary:
£49,045 - £56,854 per annum pro rata

Benfield Valley Healthcare Hub is looking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join a busy innovative practice. We are looking for an individual who is not just an autonomous practitioner with a nurse prescribing qualification, but someone who can also help us improve the way we support the people we care for within and across practices. For the right candidate there is the further option of a leadership role in Here’s Improving Access Service. The ideal candidate will have experience within a GP Practice or Primary Care Environment but this is not essential and practitioners with varied backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be expected to work as a clinical practitioner, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. With the ability to work in pressured situations, the post requires initiative and enthusiasm, excellent clinical assessment skills and empathy and will be responsible for assessing patients, planning their care, administering treatment and discharging or referring them as appropriate to other healthcare professionals / external agencies. The successful candidate will have a proactive approach and be able to deliver a safe, effective and quality service and will be expected to take on a practice lead role e.g. Safeguarding or Infection Control.

We work across two sites in Brighton & Hove (one in Portslade and one in Hangleton, Hove) covering a patient population of 7000. Parking is available at both sites and easy access bus routes as well.

We believe in enabling people to take control of their health care journeys – we help to change the way health and wellbeing services work so care can focus on what matters to individuals. As we move to develop primary care networks of 30,000 to 50,000 patients, we are looking for someone who can help us make the most of the opportunities this brings. This is a permanent role and we are flexible around sessions/ number of working hours which will be discussed at interview. Please contact Alison Dunn with any questions regarding this recruitment.
