Both hospitals within our Trust—Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital—were rated as ‘Good’ overall.

Our Trust was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating for ‘use of resources’ by an NHS Improvement inspection which was completed during the same period as the CQC assessment.

The Role


Band 8b Facilities Contracts Manager– Fulham Road Collaborative

An exciting opportunity to join the Fulham Road Collaborative as their Facilities Contracts Manager. The post is based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Site but will oversee the soft services and retail contracts for 3 leading London Trusts; Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trusts, the Royal Brompton NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate should have excellent management and reporting skills, with experience of working in a fast paced and demanding facilities department. You will have significant knowledge, understanding and experience of contract management, be competent and comfortable producing and presenting necessary reports for senior executives, and have experience in implementing and upholding performance management systems and key performance indicators.

You will be responsible for a managing the performance of contractors, combined budget spend of circa £22million p.a. ensuring best value and quality services are delivered in the following areas;

  • Housekeeping
  • Car parking
  • Security
  • Patient catering
  • Retail catering
  • Linen & laundry
  • Portering
  • Helpdesk
  • Transport

In addition you will lead on site specific Estates & Facilities cost improvement initiatives (CIPs) and business planning, relationship management and reporting/reviews.
