This position is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic respiratory physiotherapist to be involved in running and developing the surgical physiotherapy service, as part of the wider Respiratory Therapy Team.

The Royal London is a regional unit for, hepato-biliary and colo-rectal surgery, alongside its status as a major trauma centre. There is an expectation the post holder will continue with the development of an (ERAS) initiative, as well as supporting patient flow through the surgical directorate.

The post holder will lead a team consisting of one Band 6, two Band 5 physiotherapists, and a B3 therapy support worker. We also work as integrated Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams.

They will take a lead in providing care to a caseload of complex surgical patients through the 44 bedded critical care environment including level 2 and 3 patients, and the general wards.

You will have:

    • Excellent evidence-based clinical skill
    • Exceptional organisational and communication skill
    • Experience of teaching and developing other team member
    • The ability to work effectively within the MD
    • The ability to lead and motivate; You will be supported in the development of both your clinical and managerial skills and enjoy the benefits of working within a large trust with a range of clinical specialist staff
