An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Mid Bedfordshire Directorate, Community Mental Health Team for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to cover maternity leave.
We are looking to recruit an OT with past experience of working with adults with mental health difficulties and /or dementia to join our busy community multi-disciplinary team which also delivers a Memory Assessment Service. To succeed in this role, you will have good work load management skills, demonstrate sound clinical assessment skills and offer specialist OT interventions utilising assessment and evaluation tools drawn from the Model of Human Occupation and/or AMPS.

The Occupational Therapist will work as an integral part of the Community Team to develop functional and organic services. There will be the opportunity to offer and implement group based programmes and work closely with the recovery service to ensure clients can access educational and self-help groups to support well-being and self-management of their mental health.

ELFT provides a wide range of community and inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, older adults and forensic services to the City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire, Luton and psychological therapy services to the London Borough of Richmond.
