The Essex CCGs led the successful procurement of a new IT contract covering Corporate IT and GP IT for the 7 Essex CCGs, and over 300 GP practices.

The subsequent transformation programme is supported by an Intelligent Client Function (ICF) hosted by NHS Castle Point and Rochford CCG and the post holder will be required to support CCG’s, working with IT Suppliers, Providers, CCGs, Primary Care and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, sustainable, resilient and innovative IT and digital services that enhance care for the population of Essex.

The post holder will be the Essex CCG’s designated lead for key projects, programmes and IT work streams and ensure Essex wide consistency of delivery. The post holder is expected to travel equitably across all Essex CCG’s in order to support the development, delivery and monitoring of several large and complex projects ensuring effective and detailed implementation plans, delivery and governance. The post holder will be required to monitor interdependencies between projects and manage these effectively.

With a strong emphasis on supporting the day to day delivery of projects, the post holder will need to deliver excellent co-ordination, communication and rapid management of decision making processes to ensure the continuity and quality of services. The post holder, via the ICF function, will be accountable for the delivery of programmes of work and all required reporting, governance, finances, risk management and other processes to provide assurance and oversight to the CCGs.

The individual will hold accountability for ensuring implementation of strategic objectives and meeting of performance targets. The post holder will be required to work collaboratively across the Essex geographic footprint, and also across the ICS systems of Mid and South Essex, Suffolk and North East Essex, and West Essex and Herts.
