An exciting opportunity has risen to develop the Crisis and outreach Pathways for children within our the 4 London Boroughs of NELFT in a timely manner to ensure the best interventions are provided to these children.


We are looking for 3 dedicated Mental Health Practitioners whose passion is to work with children and young people and deliver the best service possible.


INTERACT have been recognised across London and nationally for a quality service and good practice. Providing an innovative multi model approach to outreach services for children and young people, its needs lead service provides crisis resolution and prevention support within NELFT London catchment area.

INTERACT provides a clinically focused service to residents of four London boroughs and works alongside locally based statutory and non-statutory services, including CAMHS Community based services and inpatient specialist services, as well as providing training and consultation to the wider professional network.

The successful candidate will have sound clinical knowledge and skills and will have the ability to work independently. They will also possess a current Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapist or equivalent professional qualification and a positive belief in the abilities of their clients and carers. The post holder will benefit from a friendly supportive environment and developed to work collaboratively with families and services in delivering an alternative to admission, providing crisis intervention as well as more traditional community support. The successful candidate will work alongside highly motivated colleagues and have access to effective supervision and relevant training.

Based at the Award Winning Outstanding Rated by the CQC Brookside Adolescent Unit, Goodmayes. There is available parking and good road networks. There are also good connections via the rail and tube.

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,722 to a maximum of £4,743).
