Team Leader Complex Leg Wound & Tissue Viability Service

Salary: £37,570 - £43,772

Hours: 37.5 per week

Integrated Community Teams – based at Edward Jenner Court

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated, innovative and experienced nurse who has a passion for complex leg wounds and tissue viability.

Complex leg Wound Services are established in multiple clinic sites across Gloucestershire with a vision to create a broader service provision in future. Our Tissue Viability Nurses are locality attached and work as embedded colleagues in our Integrated Community Teams, enabling excellence in wound management across the county.

These two teams have recently come together and moved into our locality offer as we evolve into an Integrated Care System, we believe in putting specialist expertise at the heart of core delivery. The team leader we are looking for will have extensive experience within a tissue viability role and a good rounded knowledge of complex leg wound management. A tissue viability qualification is expected to complement your knowledge, experience and skills.

You will be a creative, adaptable thinker able to work alongside the Clinical Lead to operationalise your teams and deliver outstanding care. You will manage a clinical caseload of tissue viability patients in the Forest of Dean locality for part of your working week and provide oversight to both services for the rest of your time. You will be an excellent communicator able to work with a variety of stakeholders and learners, developing both the service and clinical practice within the organisation as well as delivering education programmes alongside the experts in your service.

We are mobile working ready and flexible working is available. The service runs Monday to Friday (inc some bank holidays in complex leg wound service)
