Band 7 Midwife / Team Leader for Community Midwifery

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced midwife to lead on of our community midwifery teams at Whipps Cross Hospital in delivering high quality services to our clients.

We require a midwife who is passionate about providing Homebirths to low risk women, being on-call and ensuring that optimal use is made of available resources to provide appropriate and effective cover over any 24hour period .

The post-holder will be a registered midwife, able to demonstrate higher level clinical skills and work independently. You will have sound management skills, resilience and the ability to meet the demands of a busy clinical service. In this role you will be expected to demonstrate passion for promoting normality, offer women continuity of care / carer to support women in every part of their pregnancy journey as recommended in the Better Births report (2016).

The Care Quality Commission has recognised the significant improvements made at Whipps Cross in their latest visit and the 2018 Staff Survey results showed staff have seen many improvements in their working lives.
