We are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Plain Film superintendent to lead our services at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust.

We need an 'exceptional person' who will be able to provide leadership, support and direction for our dedicated workforce – someone who is highly motivated and always ready to meet the challenge of changing service demands.

Do you have that special something to bring to our department?

You must be experienced, skilled, flexible and committed to producing high standards of radiography

You will be responsible for supporting and developing our hard working team of radiographers.

You should have excellent influencing and communication skills and be confident working with other colleagues both organisationally and external to the Trust.

Additionally we would be delighted to hear your ideas and will support and encourage ‘innnovation’ as we strive to improve the services we offer and to keep our Out-patient waiting times as low as possible - in a safe and supportive environment.

We are delighted to have recently installed dedicated DR rooms for our Emergency department patients and service at Crawley hospital, four x retro fit Plain film rooms plus 2xDigital mobile units.

Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service), thereafter individuals will progress up the pay steps in accordance with Agenda for change terms and conditions. For part time roles you will receive a pro rata'd (proportional) salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical & dental terms and conditions.

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust operate a 24 hour 365 day a year service and all nursing, clinical and operational roles will require staff to work 24/7 shifts (if required) unless you are specifically advised otherwise as part of the recruitment process.
