Fixed Term / Secondment – 12 months.

We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an Orthoptist to join our large friendly team of Orthoptists for a fixed term of one year covering a secondment.

This post provides essential experience in, Paediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus, Adult strabismus, Glaucoma and Post-operative cataract experience.

You will also have opportunity to gain valuable experience in a well-supported environment.

You will offer Orthoptic support integral to the care patients within the RFL Ophthalmology service across all sites: Edgware Community Hospital, Barnet Hospital and occasionally at other sites under RFL.

You will be working as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team and will be involved in the relevant MDT meetings.

You will be encouraged to participate in clinical governance and audit activities within the team. Applicants must have previous experience in Orthoptics, and have excellent communication and prioritisation skills and a commitment to continuing professional development.
