We provide a specialist Inpatient service for adults with mental health needs across 3 inpatient wards. Our teams sit within the Adult Mental Health and Learning Disability Service Delivery Unit.

The patient group for Worcestershire is diverse and encompasses a broad spectrum of needs and illnesses. We are currently looking for dynamic, caring, and innovative healthcare assistants to make a genuine difference to patients, and their families, throughout their inpatient journey.

  • Hadley (PICU),Worcester
  • Holt (Assessment ward),Worcester
  • Hillcrest (Treatment ward), Redditch

The inpatient teams are friendly and welcoming, providing a nurturing team environment to foster personal, and professional, development in a challenging, but an interesting environment. Inpatient services have consistently received nominations at the Trust Annual Award Ceremony, and were winners in 2015, shortlisted in 2016 and multiple winners in 2017 for Quality Improvement, Patient Choice and Courageous! We were also shortlisted for the HSJ Awards in ‘Most effective adoption and diffusion of best practice’ for our work in Mental Health Red2Green and continue to work collaboratively with ECIP and other Trusts nationally.

New employees to the Trust are required to pay the fee for the initial DBS check (this will be deducted from their first months’ salary) and the annual subscription (£13) to the DBS Update Service. The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
