LOCUM CONSULTANT ANAESTHETIST

-fixed-term for 1 year (until 1st August 2020)

 

An opportunity has arisen for 3 Locum Consultant Anaesthetists to join our team of existing Anaesthetic Consultants at Ashford & St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust. This is a new position and heralds the start of an exciting time for the Anaesthetic Department at the hospital with further new consultant appointments and the development of peri-operative medicine within the Trust.The appointment will be made in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Service for the 2003 Consultant Contract.

The department provides anaesthetic support across the Trust and you will be expected to work at both main sites within the Trust and you will have the opportunity to join the general on-call rota. The successful applicantwill join a department of over thirty Anaesthetic Consultants and provide anaesthesia for a variety of surgical specialities, including vascular, upper and lower GI surgery, trauma and orthopaedic surgery, urology and ENT & maxillofacial surgery in adult and paediatric patients. Over time there will be an opportunity to develop specialist skills, both clinical and non-clinical, dependent on the appointee’s interests and service demands.

Applicants must be fully registered on the UK General Medical Council’s Specialist Register. Specialist Registrars may apply if within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the date of interview.
