The Canterbury Team for Older People are looking to engage a highly motivated individual who can deliver a person centred approach to people with Mental Health issues including dementia and their carers.

As a proactive Team member you will work in the Reception area where you will welcome, meet and greet service users, carers, relatives or visitors, alerting healthcare professionals of their arrival as well as carrying out the day to day administration duties as outlined in the job description.

The team works closely with the wider Multi Disciplinary Team i.e. Care Managers, General Practitioners and Occupational Therapists as well as voluntary agencies.

The successful Apprentice will enjoy creative problem solving and have a positive attitude to working with older people.

You will also provide a flexible resource to support teams in the provision of services to include organisation of work for self and have front line contact with service users, carers and the general public.

You will need to:-

* be able to work as part of a team
* have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
