The Sussex MSK Partnership Central is an innovative organisation operating across three Clinical Commissioning Groups in Central Sussex. It is a joint venture between Here (Care Unbound Ltd), Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Horder Healthcare. Care Unbound Ltd is unique local, trusted, not for profit and holistic partnership bringing together primary care, expert musculoskeletal intermediate and specialist care, community and mental health and wellbeing clinicians to deliver all elements of the service. This is a prime contracting model supporting musculoskeletal (MSK) health covering physiotherapy, orthopaedics, rheumatology and chronic pain. The service operates across central Sussex; including Brighton & Hove, Horsham and Mid Sussex and Crawley. The vision is to transform MSK services for a population of over 650,000, putting patients in control of their healthcare journeys and delivering care that is tailored to their needs and where shared decision making is paramount.

The Sussex MSK Partnership (SMSKP) Central is looking to recruit specialists in chronic pain to join a chronic pain pathway service across the central Sussex corridor with the primary base for these roles based in Brighton. Clinicians would be expected to be flexible and work across the footprint as required. Our team consists of specialists from a range of professional backgrounds including physiotherapy, nursing, occupational therapy, osteopathy and podiatry.

SMSKP Central is a unique organisation that seeks to bring together the best of our local healthcare and specialist orthopaedic, pain and rheumatology knowledge to deliver quality care for all patients according to their specific needs. Central to this is the focus on identifying what truly matters to our patients and through a shared decision making approach, providing patients with the information they need to be able to make informed decisions about their healthcare journey.

These posts holders will carry a clinical caseload in an iCATs service as an Advanced Practitioner. We are seeking clinicians with a specialist interest in managing chronic pain conditions to include one to one treatments and assisting with the running of self-management programmes.

We offer a good training programme for staff and the service is well supported to deliver patient centred care by our Self-Management Lead and Patient Director.
