Senior Clinical Research Nurse
Fixed Term or internal secondment for 12months

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic clinical research nurse to manage, deliver and develop our growing portfolio of commercial research studies within the Transplant, Renal and Urology directorate here at Guys and St Thomas.

You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated multidisciplinary team in a dynamic teaching hospital in central London, and will be an essential member of the established TR&U research delivery team. You will be responsible for identifying and supporting the set-up of new commercial research studies, assessing the feasibility and intensity, planning staffing allocations and ensuring the delivery of the established commercial portfolio to time and target. You will work closely with the Research Matron, R&D Lead, Principal Investigators and clinical staff to ensure safe and high quality care for patients. The role may also include line management responsibilities.

Applicants must be a registered adult nurse with evidence of continuing professional development. You should have experience in commercial clinical research, a strong clinical background and a desire and willingness to learn. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability and initiative to work independently and manage a patient caseload across a variety of commercial research trials. An understanding of clinical research, R&D governance processes, clinical governance, GCP and HTA is essential.

We will provide a comprehensive induction programme and ensure that all staff have tailored, individual personal development plans with support for further training. Opportunities for developing new research/clinical skills are available and actively encouraged. The normal working hours for the post are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, although the post holder will need to be flexible to accommodate patient visits and assessments outside of these hours when required.
