Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust(AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.

We employ over 4,000 dedicated members of staff who deliver services from more than 90 locations, working in approximately 150 teams across a geographical region of 2,200 miles, for a population of approximately 1.8million people.

We are passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing. We strive to use the expertise and resources within our organisation, and through our partnerships, to deliver high quality services that are safe and focused on people's recovery. Our staff are pivotal in everything we do and we are committed to involving them fully in the development of the Trust and our services.

Due to internal developments, an opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic mental health nurse to join the North East Wiltshire CMHT. The team has across two sites, Green Lane Hospital, Devizes and Bewley House, Chippenham and staff can be based on which site fits their needs best. The team works Monday to Friday with the core hours of 9-5 and covers a large geographical area. We are a friendly and supportive team. We actively support and promote remote working, where appropriate, and the successful candidate will be provided with the facilities to achieve this.

We accept applicants who are about to qualify and have completed this many times with newly qualified staff. A dedicated Preceptor will be identified to work alongside the successful applicant. They will be supported to progress their career to a more senior role within the team if they wish. This vacancy is for a full time position although job share and part time hours can also be considered. The team works with both working age and older adults experiencing serious mental health problems or disorders, although care co-ordinators typically work within their own preferred speciality. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in working with people towards their recovery. With this you will receive regular supervision and support from the senior practitioner and colleagues in the team.

For further details / informal visits contact:  Chris McKenna or Senior Practitioner Mandy Duxberry on 01380 731358 and we will happily discuss the post with you.
