Trust Clinical Fellows (‘SHO’ level) in a variety of specialties.

We are looking to appoint Trust Clinical Fellows within a range of specialties. We wish to be as flexible as possible and the following are key aspects of these posts:

  • Appointments can be for between 6 months and a year depending on candidate preference.
  • Rotations through more than one specialty will be accommodated as far as possible.
  • Timetabled training opportunities
  • Educational support – access to supervisors and an e-Portfolio
  • Support (financial and time) for postgraduate courses/quality improvement projects etc.
  • Study leave entitlement (financial and time) equivalent to that of other non-training posts.
  • Less than full time working supported if requested
  • Opt out of on-call commitment negotiable
  • Period of unpaid leave negotiable

 

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated doctors who have completed Foundation Year 2 or equivalent and possess a Certificate of Completion of Foundation Training at the time of taking up the post. The TCFs will work at the ‘SHO’ grade, so experience beyond Foundation will also be welcomed and training opportunities within the post will be tailored to individual requirements as much as possible.

We are offering posts in a variety of specialties to provide as much flexibility as possible to those people who would like to take up this opportunity. Please state your preferred areas of work within your application and we will seek to accommodate preferences wherever possible.

Alongside clinical work, we are offering the opportunity to undertake flexible working with the option to undertake a (50% funded at least) postgraduate qualification through Plymouth University (e.g. clinical education, simulation, remote healthcare, leadership and management) or to undertake management and quality improvement projects or teaching within the Trust.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.


Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
