Kettering General Hospital is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for newly qualified/ band 5 midwives to join their team. There are posts in all aspects of Midwifery and the opportunity to maintain all your skills as a rotational midwife providing ante natal, postnatal and intrapartum care to women with low and high risk pregnancies, rotating through all areas of the service including community, as required. We are a forward looking service with staff that have the enthusiasm to improve care for women and families. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic midwives who have a keen interest in all aspects of maternity care to join this excellent and innovative maternity unit.

We have a well-established preceptorship program which supports staff to gain confidence and skills at a pace that is right for them. The unit is extremely proud to have been awarded BFI Level 3. We are working as part of Northamptonshire LMS to deliver the recommendations of Better Births and have opportunities within existing and upcoming continuity of carer pilots.

If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. It is also recommended that following your DBS check you subscribe to the DBS update service.

Please note that news starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.
