Registered Paramedics required in Greater Manchester!

Starting salary of £34,000 per annum with opportunities to up-skill and develop in a company providing nurse led services.

Full-time hours, rolling rota, 42 hours per week

Your new role as a C+C Forensic Healthcare Professional (HCP) means you will be joining one of the leading providers of outsourced public services to the criminal justice system in the UK. You will learn new skills and be developed to provide forensic healthcare services within GMP custody suites across the Greater Manchester hub.

Our experienced C+C healthcare professionals are on hand 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to ensure that patients are assessed, their health needs addressed and to assist the police in conducting forensic medical examinations to gather evidence for use in the criminal justice system.

The role includes:

  • Assessment and treatment of detainee’s health needs
  • Promoting drug rehabilitation therapies whilst in custody
  • Healthcare promotion and self harm reduction
  • Mental health and substance misuse assessments
  • Forensic sampling
  • Trail blazing inter agency engagement correctly sign posting detainees to reduce re-offending

Essential to the role:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN or dual trained RGN/RMN) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualifying front line experience
  • Full membership of the HCPC or NMC (as a Registered General Nurse)
  • Unplanned Care experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a wider team
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Have been continuously resident in the UK for at least 3 years, with no more than 3 months spent overseas at any one time.
  • Must have Right to Work in the UK
  • A full UK driving license (manual only)
  • Willingness to develop skill set with forensic training
  • Flexibility to move across GMP hubs as required

This role would suit healthcare professionals with current front-line experience in any of the following settings:

  • Accident and Emergency (A&E)
  • Acute
  • Treatment Centre
  • Walk-in Centre
  • Urgent Care Centre
  • Triage
  • Rapid Response
