We are looking to expand our team within the Digital Patient Records Library service which operates on a 24/7, 365 days of the year basis at both the QMC and City Campuses by recruiting 3Digital Library Assistants. The Library team undertake a wide range of duties including providing an admission and enquiry service handling calls from the general public. The team also manage on a day to day basis the provision of both paper and digitised patient records at NUH. The service is currently undergoing a period of significant transformation from paper based services to Digitised Health Records (DHR). The role will include the collection, preparation, scanning and quality assurance of patient records.

This is an interesting opportunity for enthusiastic and conscientious individuals who have proven office administration and IT skills. The role requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail is paramount. Post holders must be strong team players who can work efficiently with colleagues within the Library service, whilst liaising with staff from all departments across the wider hospital.

The post holders will be based at the QMC campus but will also be expected to work at the City Campus library on a regular basis. The hours will be Monday to Friday, starting at 11am through to 7pm.

    • I also consent to the Occupational Health Department confidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post. I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
    • Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incurs a cost dependent on the level of check required (£49 for enhanced and £31 for standard). I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of a DBS check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
