This is an exciting opportunity to join us at NHS Tameside & Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group. We are currently delivering our ambitious plans to support the development of an integrated care organisation (Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust) through our exciting Care Together Programme, whilst being a key partner within Greater Manchester’s devolved arrangements. You will be working within our newly formed Single Commissioning Function which has brought together colleagues from both the CCG and Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council to deliver an innovative single commissioning strategy from our newly integrated commissioning budgets. By joining us, you will play an important part in developing innovative and transformational services to our residents as part of our wider Care Together programme.


The Strategic Capital Projects Manager will be a vital and central role within the economy and will support the implementation of new models of health, social care, customer and resident services.

The post is advertised as a fixed term contract for 12 months with a view for permanency following the initial duration.

The post holder will join the team at an exciting time and will be given a significant opportunity within the Tameside & Glossop Strategic Commission; working in an economy wide transformational role across NHS, Local Authority, Primary Care and other public owned estate. Reporting to the Strategic Estates Business Manager the post holder will primarily focus on the delivery of Integrated Neighbourhood Hub buildings across Tameside & Glossop. This will involve liaising with multiple public sector stakeholders, rationalising significant estate portfolios, supporting staff and tenant relocations, managing contracts and tendering processes.

The post holder shall engage with all economy wide stakeholders and shall develop and direct projects from conception to handover. The post holder shall be an experienced senior manager with a demonstrable experience of managing large estates projects including new builds and major fit-outs or reconfigurations. Schemes of this size shall naturally involve multiple departments and organisations ranging from IT and Corporate Services Staff to Specialist Clinical Services requiring bespoke accommodation specifications and equipment, therefore strong communication and leadership skills are required.
