Redditch and Bromsgrove locality has two exiting opportunities for

enthusiastic, well-motivated therapists, who has some community experience, to join our well-established teams.

 

POST 1

The Redditch and Bromsgrove Neighbourhood Team provides a service for patients in their own homes.

 

Are you: -

- aware of the Intensive support Occupational Therapy role

- Interested in assessing patients in their own homes for the:

  • · Prevention of admission to hospital
  • · Facilitating discharges into the community
  • · provision of items of equipment and minor adaptations

-interested in working closely with the Community Occupational Therapy team

- assisting with ‘urgent’ cases

The successful candidate will:-

 

  • Have some experience of working in the community
  • Have a knowledge of manual handling assessments
  • Have knowledge of the workings of a multi-disciplinary and neighbourhood teams
  • Have some knowledge and experience of adaptations and equipment provision
  • Be able to work alone and as a member of the team
  • Be extremely motivated, approachable with excellent communication skills
  • Be expected to manage a caseload of clients with varying needs and complexity.

POST 2

The Community Occupational Therapy (Housing, Adaptions and Equipment) Team provides a service for patients in their own homes.

 

Are you: -

- aware of the Community Occupational Therapy role

- Interested in assessing patients in their own homes for the:

  • · provision of items of equipment
  • · major and minor adaptations
  • · rehousing advice

 

We require an enthusiastic, well-motivated therapist, who has some community experience, to join our well-established team.

 

The successful candidate will:-

 

  • Have some experience of both major and minor adaptations
  • Have knowledge of current legislation relating to housing and disability
  • Have some knowledge and experience of specialist equipment provision
  • Have a knowledge of the Occupational Therapy role within ‘housing’
  • Be able to work alone and as a member of the team
  • Be extremely motivated, approachable with excellent communication skills
  • Be expected to manage a caseload of clients with varying needs and complexity.

The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
