Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your career within an expanding mental health pharmacy team?

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and accurate medicine management technician to work within our services to Mental Health wards, Neighbourhood teams and Crisis and Home Treatment teams (CRHT) in North Derbyshire. CRHT provides community based rapid emergency assessment and intensive care and support to people at times of crisis. Neighbourhood teams making a meaningful difference to patients living in the community.

As the pharmacy technician you will take the lead in the pharmacy medicines optimisation processes in line with the trust Medicines Optimisation Strategy and Pharmacy Strategy.

The post holders will need to be flexible, responsive and proactive in medicine related issues to provide support, wellbeing and empowerment to patient, carers and family. The post holder will need to ensure safe medicine practice is adhered too and pharmacy governance frameworks are in place on the wards and within the teams.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organised, be a good communicator and take responsibility for their own role. A comprehensive induction and training package will be provided and your professional development actively supported.

DBS Check

The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service formerly known as CRB) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month’s salary. The current price of a standard check is £26 and an enhanced check is £44.
