A unique opportunity to join the South, Central and West Commissioning Support unit (SCW CSU), part of the NHS, as a IT Technical Consultant within the system team, this opportunity allows the right individual to become an integral part of our exciting future. South, Central and West CSU IT Services team. Help deliver an environment that supports the delivery of information technology to around 30,000 NHS staff working in Clinical Commissioning Groups, General practices and community based healthcare settings. We Are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for contributing to the provision of an efficient, effective, high quality, professional system Operations capability that continues to meet all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the provision of an efficient, effective, high quality, professional systems operations capability that continues to meet all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation. Contribute to the performance of Systems Operations, the wider IT Services community and SCW by actively engaging with management peers. This is a technical role and hands-on technical knowledge of the technologies used within SCW CSU is essential; these include, but are not limited to:
 Windows Server: 2008,2012,2016
o Active Directory management
o Server build and configuration
o Monitoring and management
 Scripting, e.g. Powershell, VB Script and Command files
 Windows Software Update Services (WSUS)
