The Medical Directorate is seeking flexible, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to work as Emergency Zone Receptionists. You will work across all reception desks in the zone, providing a high level of administrative support to the Clinical teams. You will act as the first point of contact for patients and carers visiting the zone, ensuring the accurate completion of registration details, maintaining computerised records and dealing with queries in a sympathetic and appropriate manner. Successful candidates will need to be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure, work well as part of a team and have great communication skills. Previous experience of front of house reception work is desirable.


We are able to offer a variety of hours up to 34 hours per week. This will be made up of 6 or 12 hour shifts. You will not have set shifts but instead work your hours flexibly across all the shifts within the zone (including nights, evenings and weekends), with rotas available 6 weeks in advance. Within this flexible work pattern you will be able to express preferences for particular shifts, request certain days off (a maximum number per rota period), swap with your colleagues or take annual leave.
