Our purpose is to provide expertise to the NHS to resolve concerns fairly, share learning for improvement and preserve resources for patient care. Following our change in operating name to NHS Resolution in 2017, coinciding with the launch of our five-year strategy, we have subsequently renamed our core services to better reflect the work undertaken in these areas and to further reinforce that we deliver these services within a strategic framework.

We provide the following core services to our customers:

  • Claims Management delivers expertise in handling both clinical and non-clinical claims to members of our indemnity schemes.
  • Practitioner Performance Advice provides advice, support and interventions in relation to concerns about the individual performance of doctors, dentists and pharmacists.
  • Primary Care Appeals offers an impartial tribunal service for the fair handling of primary care contracting disputes.
  • Safety and Learning supports our Claims Management service members to better understand their claims risk profiles to target safety activity while sharing learning across the system.

We are looking for Solicitors/Legal Executives or Claims Managers to run our clinical negligence claims from initial investigation to resolution. You will be a Solicitor/Legal Executive or a Claims Handler with clinical negligence or personal injury experience (gained acting for either a claimant or defendant). This is a unique opportunity to gain an unrivalled variety of experience and potential exposure to the maximum severity claims, within one of the few organisations managing clinical negligence claims.

NHS Resolution is a not-for-profit part of the NHS working for health care providers to resolve claims fairly and to share learning across the NHS and beyond. We provide a supportive environment for our staff with specialist training and the opportunity to develop expertise in clinical negligence claims.
