An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join us in the Somerset Lung Centre.

 

The department provides a comprehensive clinical respiratory service including a full range of routine and specialist respiratory investigations, full sleep diagnostic and treatment services.

 

The purpose of the role is to assist the clinical team (consisting of 6 consultants, 2 respiratory nurses and 6 physiologists) in the smooth delivery of respiratory clinics.

 

We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable, and sensitive; you must be enthusiastic, motivated with good communication skills, have the ability to work under pressure and be committed to delivering high quality patient care.

 

The post holder will work under indirect supervision of the clinical team and undertake tasks and duties delegated by the clinical team. You will work collaboratively with the organisation to meet the needs of patients, following policies and procedures.

 

The successful candidate should ideally have experience as a clinical health care assistant. There will be opportunities to assist and participate in some of the clinical work provided by the physiologists and support the consultants with some minor invasive procedures; we will provide a full corporate and local induction on appointment and you will be supported in further training and development opportunities as they arise.
