An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Medical Secretary within the Diabetes & Endocrinology Department, in the Division of Medicine at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person with a high standard of organizational skills and excellent typing skills to provide an efficient administrative service to the Skull Base team. The post holder will need to have good computer and communication skills, as well as being a team player and have an ability to use their own initiative. We are an extremely busy department so the ability to work under pressure is essential.

The post holder will be part of a team of 2 band 3 medical secretaries and will also support the band 4 medical secretaries as well as to support the consultant teams/ Diabetes specialist nurses.

Previous secretarial/PA experience is essential and experience in a medical secretary role with knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage.

Audio typing experience is also essential for this role as well as advanced knowledge/previous use of MS Office.
