Clinical Lead for Tissue Viability and Complex Leg Wound Service

Fixed term contract / secondment for 1 year

Band: 8a

Salary: £42,414-£49,969

Hours: 37.5 hours available

Base: Edward Jenner Court – Countywide Services

 

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated, innovative and experienced nurse who has a passion for tissue viability and complex leg wounds to lead the services forward and evolve them into our Integrated Community Teams (ICTs).

The role requires an assured nurse with considerable experience of leading and managing specialist services and with the clinical acumen to govern these diverse teams as part of our community offer.

You will be a creative thinker able to work alongside the Head of ICTs and Professional Head of Community Nursing to progress and innovate to deliver a positive impact for the population of Gloucestershire.

The post holder will be an expert resource in providing advice to clinical teams on issues relating to tissue viability and complex leg wounds and will undertake patient assessments and instigate therapeutic treatment based on evidence and national guidelines to improve health outcomes as part of their role, acting as the most senior clinical nurse in this field.

In addition you will clinically lead the work with commissioning colleagues to develop our services. You’ll need to understand governance and service development, be able to assess and assure our compliance to national directives and be commented to service transformation and right care principles.

You will be an excellent communicator able to work with a variety of stakeholders and partners, able to respond to the emerging agenda for integrated care and able to position your services to meet the needs of Gloucestershire.
