Head of Communications - Maternity Cover

Job share (30 hours per week) 1 year fixed term

Band 8B

 

We are currently seeking to appoint a Joint Head of Communications, to join the Chief Executive’s office in our corporate headquarters. This is a great opportunity for an energetic, highly motivated communications professional to undertake this important role, providing proactive support and expert advice to the Chief Executive, Chair and Executive Directors.

 

You will be a highly skilled and experienced self-starter with extensive knowledge and experience of communications at a strategic level. The successful candidate will jointly, with their job share partner, lead the Trust’s communications team to provide an efficient, effective, high quality, professional and well-coordinated communications service to meet both the strategic objectives of the Trust as well as working with system partners to achieve closer integration across the Surrey Heartlands foot print.

 

Working with the Associate Director of Corporate Affairs and Governance, you will be responsible for devising, implementing and ensuring highly effective internal and external communication strategies and plans. You will need excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, discretion, sensitivity and political acumen.
