Practice Facilitator

Due to the progression of our current post holder, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovated, motivated and dynamic individual to join our Practice Development team. Although based within the International and Private Patients (IPP) Division, the post is an NHS role and therefore the successful applicant will continue to benefit from the terms and conditions of the National Agenda for Change agreement.

The successful applicant will form part of a small, friendly team that supports the development and maintenance of a high-quality learning environment within the IPP division in addition to promoting professional learning and development in order to enhance patient care. The team works closely with colleagues from the Trust Practice development team to ensure the delivery of Trust-wide objectives and to share ideas for initiatives that will ensure that Great Ormond Street remains at the forefront of nursing education.

The children that receive care within IPP come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and the conditions treated across our three dedicated wards include haematology/oncology, immunology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, ENT, metabolic, and nephro-urology disorders. We also have a busy outpatients department to support the ongoing care of our young patients.
