An opportunity has arisen for an Audiology Assistant.  The role is to support an exciting new development for the audiology team.  The service is growing, and this position will support new services within the localities.

 

The department has a wide range of responsibilities, serving four CCG’s as well as an Acute Trust.  We provide comprehensive diagnostic, tinnitus and Vestibular services as well as AQP and complex adult hearing aid care.

 

We are based at Crawley Hospital, with satellite clinics at East Surrey Hospital, Horsham Hospital, Birchwood GP clinic and Caterham Dene Hospital.  With this in mind the successful applicant must be happy to work in more remote clinics.

 

The successful applicant should have five core GSCE’s or equivalent.  There will be full training for this role, however, prior experience of working with individuals with hearing loss would be beneficial.  A current driving licence is essential.

The department is always driven to encourage continuing personal and professional development and this role may become an apprenticeship post in the future.

Recruitment and Retention Premium

Recruitment and Retention Premium applies to the following posts:

Successful applicants within the staff groups above will receive -

  • £1000 upon commencement (payable in your first months’ salary) then;

  • £1000 after 6 months service subject to satisfactory completion of your probationary period.
