If you would like to make a difference, then this is the perfect opportunity for a practitioner who has experience in care within either an acute hospital setting, Ambulance Service, Community Care Home or a Community Nursing Team and can demonstrate a recognised training, equivalent of NVQ/Care Certificate or Associate Practitioner Course. You may be currently on the Associate Practitioner Course and wish to secure a post on completion of your qualification. You will be working within the Spelthorne community nursing team who support patients who are housebound by providing nursing care in their own homes. Working in partnership with specialist community services and other social care teams to provide high quality nursing care and advice. The service offers professional advice, support and skilled nursing care to enable patients to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Community nurses assess the healthcare needs of patients, monitor quality of care and are professionally accountable for tailoring individual packages of care and the delivery of that care, wherever possible avoiding hospital admissions. We are committed to offering a wide variety of educational opportunities for staff development to ensure that we safeguard future career progression and continuous professional enhancement and gate ways to becoming a qualified nurse if this is your ambition. You will gain skills in insulin administration, phlebotomy, wound care and supporting palliative care patients. Training will be offered, with mentorship from qualified nurses. Recruitment - Golden Hello

Successful applicants, who have not worked for CSH within the last 12 months, will receive an amount of £2000 paid in two instalments: - £1000 upon commencement and a further £1000 following successful completion of probation. These payments are pro-rata for part- time posts. Payments will be subject to tax and NI National Insurance in the usual way.We don’t operate Golden Hellos for Band 7, Band 8 posts. Or Bank posts.
