DBS checks - As a Trust who is committed to securing the safety of its staff, patients and property, we use the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). In line with other NHS organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region, the Trust is now passing the charge for undertaking a DBS check on to candidates in the event that they are successfully appointed into the post for which they have applied. By applying for this vacancy you are agreeing to this undertaking in the event you are successfully appointed.

As a Trust we value HONESTY from our staff and therefore we encourage applicants to tell us about convictions, cautions, reprimands, warnings, regardless of when they took place, in the application and interview process. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us; this will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances of your offences which will be discussed in a meeting between yourself, the Recruitment Team and your potential line manager..

If you are employed by the Trust and are interested in applying for this vacancy as a secondment (if advertised as such), please access the Secondment Policy (CORP/EMP 39) via the intranet, for guidance on requirements.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
