  • Medium secure services on the St Bernard’s Hospital site in Ealing
  • Services for people with complex and severe personality disorder at the Cassel Hospital in Richmond
  • High secure services at Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire

West London NHS Trust has recently been named as the lead provider to deliver the Ealing out of hospital (community) services, from April 2019. This will be a hugely exciting and suitably challenging ten-year contract. The ethos of the services provided will be to ensure coordinated care, whilst delivering the outcomes that matter.

 

 

 

In order to help achieve our ambitions, West London NHS Trust is looking to recruit an exceptional person to support the Trust Clinical Governance agenda and hold the Integrated Care (community services) Clinical Governance ‘portfolio, from the very commencement of services. The right person will achieve results through ‘leading by example’ and ensuring relationships are developed and maintained. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-moving environment, and who has the skills and temperament to work in a collaborative manner across a wide range of both internal and external services.

 

 

 

The post holder will be an integral member of the Trust Clinical Governance team, supporting the Integrated Care (community) services regarding: patient safety and clinical assurance, incident investigations and associated learning, specialist clinical governance oversight, as well as contributing to delivering the Trust-wide clinical governance agenda.

 

 

 

The post holder will provide senior specialist clinical quality and patient safety advice and will lead on safety related activities as well as playing a key role in providing clinical quality advice and support to the Clinical and Executive Directors, ensuring a seamless quality response for the areas that they oversee.

 

 

 

The post holder will be expected to support the clinical director, service managers and governance team across the community services partnership to discharge their responsibilities, in the coordination of quality related issues and quality assurance, whilst meeting any required statutory and mandatory quality and governance requirements.

 

 

 

As a Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team, delivering effective and efficient quality function for West London NHS Trust.

 

 

 

The role involves wide-ranging collaboration with both internal and external colleagues, as well as healthcare partners across the system. The role requires analysis and interpretation of complex quality information, both quantitative and qualitative and contribution to devising strategies and approaches to resolve issues.

 

 

 

The post holder will both contribute to, and lead, on the development of quality and safety reports for regular and ad hoc meetings. They will also support the Associate Director of Clinical Governance with delivering the Trust patient safety and patient experience agenda as well as related wider clinical quality issues.
